Thank you to everyone that attended the May 2015 Committee Chair and Board Workshop. We received a lot of great committee volunteer opportunities. I have tried to group them by committee or event and list them below.

Miscellaneous
· Contact donors for the Endowment

The Academy for Water Professional Development

· Teach at an Academy class
· Develop Needs to Know for an Academy track
· Develop test questions
· Need: Utility/corporate partner to work with on equipment skills training
· Help develop course curriculum within existing tracks (collection/distribution).
· Help develop new curriculum for future tracks
· Speak on topics (technical and soft skills)
· Help organize speakers with events
Water For People
· Help organize 5k in Charlotte or Raleigh
· Help organize golf tournament
· Write article about committee activities for NC Currents

Students & Young Professionals Committee

· Guest speakers at YP socials. Possibly committee leaders to help spark interest in NC AWWA-WEA as a whole.
· Need volunteers to judge the NC Student Design projects to select a winning team from NCSU or UNC-Charlotte to go and represent NC AWWA-WEA at WEFTEC. Volunteers would ideally be seasoned professionals in water/wastewater engineering.
· Guest speakers for NCSU and UNC Charlotte student chapters
Regulatory Affairs
· Creation of a database of members and contact info (All we have is a dated email distribution list) – work with staff to set this up in YourMembership
· Creation of a Survey Monkey for committee members to gauge interest in topics for 2016 and input on type and timing of meetings/conference calls/emails.
Wastewater Collections and Water Distribution Systems Committee
· We are looking for a committee member to help coordinate lunch seminars with the hosts of our bi-monthly meetings. We would like to bring in a lunch speaker to talk about a subject of interest of the municipality.
· Looking for a committee member to help promote the Golden Manhole Award at Institute or Academy events.

· People to format Powerpoints for use by organizations outside NC (Maint Tech Cert Program) to include transcribing video of the training into speakers’ notes.
